A self-proclaimed avid seamstress and designer, Londa has a wealth of experience behind her vast talents and business. Londa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics from the University of Illinois, worked as an interior designer, and managed a successful craft store. Passionate about sewing, Londa began selling and offering dressmaking using Leiter’s Designer Fabrics and House of Laird fabrics.
Before long, Londa’s path led
her to new heights as she began publishing her own line of patterns featuring
heirloom sewing for women in the late 1980s. In 1990, Londa opened her own
fabric store and sewing machine dealership.
Closing the retail storefront in 2003, she launched her online shop, Londa's Creative Threads at www.londas-sewing.com and began traveling and teaching at expos, shops and guilds nationally.
